Dr. Nicholas Cox acquired Cox Family Dentistry in April of 2016 with the vision of providing quality oral health care to the North Dallas area. He enjoys discussing how he can make your smile healthy and beautiful! Dr. Cox keeps up to date with the most advanced technology and techniques with continuing education classes as a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and local branches of the Dental Society.
Dr. Cox grew up just down the road in Colleyville, where he found his love of baseball, dentistry, and North Texas. He graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School where he was an all-district baseball player during his tenure. His parents still reside in Colleyville, close enough to foster his strong family ties! Dr. Cox has one brother who attends Texas A&M University and one sister who teaches 3rd grade in Keller, TX.
Dr. Cox attended Southwestern University where he received a B.S. in Chemistry. Dr. Cox played NCAA baseball for all four years as a Pirate, playing as a relief pitcher. He was also a member of a fraternity and was published after four years of research in Physical Chemistry.
Dr. Cox then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio School of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Cox was honored by the Comprehensive Dentistry Department for outstanding performance in patient care, management and productivity, graduating at the top of his class. He has additional education in implant placement, Invisalign treatment, sedation dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. After graduating, Nick worked in private practice in San Antonio, gaining more experience and education before moving to Plano.
Dr. Cox and his wife, Dr. Allie Cox, love making their home in Plano where they live with their Blue Heeler puppy, Penny! Allie and Nick are avid Baylor Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fans! Nick also enjoys hunting, outdoors activities and keeping up with the Rangers, Mavs and Stars!
Dr. Allie Cox grew up in the small town of Ovilla, Texas. She developed an interest in dentistry at the age of 7 by observing her family dentist. She graduated Midlothian High School ranked number 6 in her class, then went on to earn a B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry from Baylor University. There she was very involved with her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, as well as the pre-dental society on campus.
Dr. C went on to study at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio School of Dentistry. In addition to the standard curriculum, Dr. C received training in cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign treatment. After graduating with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, she worked in Frisco for several years prior to joining the team at Cox Family Dentistry.
She believes in using her God-given gifts to help her patients develop a beautiful, healthy smile. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and North Texas Dental Society, which help provide her with the latest dental knowledge and technology available. Her goal is to create a genuine, trusting environment so that her patients can enjoy the best care possible.
Dr. Nick and Dr. Allie have a son Henry who was born in April 2018. They love outings as a family, which includes their dog Penny. They are members of Legacy Church and enjoy spending quality time with their Life Group. Allie and Nick are avid Baylor Bears, St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fans! Nick enjoys hunting, outdoors activities and keeping up with the Rangers, Cowboys and Stars! Allie likes to spend her free time running and cooking!
