Austin, TX – (August 15, 2017) – Nicholas Cox, DDS of Plano, Texas has been nominated by the North Texas Dental Society for the Texas Academy of General Dentistry’s (TAGD) Texas New Dentist of the Year Award. This award is considered the most prestigious honor a new dentist in Texas can earn.
Dr. Cox is one of only 13 dentists nominated for this year’s award. He and the other nominees will be honored at the Texas Academy Awards Pre-Party celebration Friday, September 22, during the TAGD’s annual Lone Star Dental Conference in Austin, Texas. Each nominee will be recognized and will receive an engraved plaque. The pre-party will conclude with the announcement of the 2017 Texas New Dentist of the Year and the presentation of the plaque to the winner.
Dr. Cox, originally from Nashville, TennesseeColleyville, Texas, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2015. Upon graduation, Dr. Cox received the Comprehensive Dentistry Award which is presented to the graduating senior showing outstanding patient care, superior clinical skills and excellent clinical productivity. He is also the 2015 winner of the International Congress of Implantologists Predoctoral Achievement Award.

Dr. Cox proudly received the North Texas Dental Society’s New Dentist of the Year Award in 2017. As a new dentist, Dr. Cox sees the importance for patient-centered care.
